C.I.T / Skin Needling

C.I.T or collagen induction therapy aka skin needling or micro needling is a treatment where by teeny needles puncture the skin to the desired depth creating micro channels and causing either a wound healing or inflammatory response depending on which is best to treat your skin concerns. Multiple treatment outcomes may be used within one treatment.

This treatment is suitable for all skin types and ages however dark skins will require skin prep with homecare products for a month prior and LED after. Both our needling gun and the the heads are TGA approved for added peace of mind.

Results Needling

You will be redder for longer after but your results will be amplified as compared to the needling facial.

Why? The longer the skin is inflamed (within reason) the more of the active response skin changing cells and processes are being produced. We still consider this medi-luxe as you have the nice spa touches.

This is a medi luxe treatment. You wont get the maximum impact of the results treatment but you wont be red for a couple of days either, whilst still getting a great treatment with visible changes to the skin.

FAQs

Does it Hurt?
Well we wont lie, a little... depending on your pain tolerance. It feels hot and scratchy as the all the wound healing goodness activates in the skin... hello collagen, bye fine lines and scarring! We don't numb the skin as it reduces the results but rubberising the skin and constricting blood flow, making the working end point harder to get and its not really needed. You can do it!

How Often Can I Do This?
Well, that depends on our treatment plan and skin concern we are correcting, anywhere from 7 to 10 days to 6 weeks! Your therapist will write you up a plan to suit your skin, lifestyle and budget.

Sound Like this is for You?
There are some contraindications and if you are pregnant we will only do a shallow inflammatory plumping treatment to infuse HA into your skin and treat cholama as your risk of PIH (post inflammatory hyperpigmentation) is higher and the skin takes longer to heal as bubs is zapping all your goodness.
